North Mississippi Health Services is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Transport for a nursing job in Tupelo, Mississippi.

**Patient Care:** 
     A practitioner responsible for providing emergency care in a prompt, resourceful and efficient manner to all patients transported via specialty ground transport. Must be able to assess, intervene, organize, direct and evaluate patient’s condition in conjunction with the specialty ground transport medic or CC-PC.

**Education:** 
       Provides patient/family education and also acts as a resource for hospital staff and pre-hospital providers of emergency medicine/management.

**Communication:** 
       Maintains communication with multi-disciplinary team members through a variety of channels to provide care to the patient. 

**Customer Relations:** 
       As a highly visible member of the hospital, the specialty ground transport nurse will project the caring, friendly, and servant image of NMHS to employees, other hospital/pre-hospital workers, and the community.

**Self-Development:** 
       The specialty ground transport nurse will maintain competency by staying informed of changing trends in the nursing practice.

**Regulatory Knowledge:**
     Complies with regulatory and accrediting agency requirements

**Requirements:**

* Must be licensed to practice as an RN in the state of Mississippi
* Must complete RN orientation in ESD and Emergency Services annual review, ground ambulance recurrent training yearly with demonstration of ALS skills, 8.0 hours of continuing education annually, Hazardous Material course yearly. 
* Must maintain currency in ACLS, PHTLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, ENPC & CPR to provide age appropriate care and specialty education consistent with mission statement. Obtain within 6 months CEN and maintain.
* 2 years ER experience or 2 years critical care experience.
* Pre-hospital experience preferred.
* Current Mississippi EMS driver’s card
* Must have effective communication and teaching skills to provide information to hospital, pre-hospital and public groups.
* General knowledge of various regulatory and accrediting standards
