DEADLINE IS TODAY!!!!!!! FOR ELNEC TRAIN THE TRAINER SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION FOR HPNA MEMBERS

Good afternoon!  As chapter representatives in some of the areas surrounding the New Orleans area, I wanted to make you aware of our two End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC) courses taking place there this April, with scholarship information for HPNA members to attend, and information on additional postconferences open to the public.  

We are sponsoring ELNEC Core and ELNEC Pediatric Palliative Care Train-the-Trainer courses on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 10 and 11, at the Le Pavillon Hotel in New Orleans, LA.  Registration for those courses is available through our web site at http://advancingexpertcare.org/elnec.  The Hospice and Palliative Nurses Foundation (HPNF) is offering conference scholarships to 2 HPNA members who attend these courses, but the application deadline is this Monday, February 19, 2018.  Those interested should apply at http://advancingexpertcare.org/conference-scholarships.

Lastly, we are offering two all-day postconference courses on Thursday, April 12, at the same location.  These are open to all nurses in the area that are interested, and you do not have to attend the ELNEC courses to attend the postconference courses.  They are titled Principles of Palliative Care Across the Care Continuum: The Nurses Role and Leadership Intensive Workshop, and are taught by HPNA staff.  More information on these and registration is also available at http://advancingexpertcare.org/elnec, and by following the “ELNEC core” option on the drop down menu.
