President's Welcome Letter

Central Alabama HPNA Members,

I am excited and honored to be serving you as the 2019 Central Alabama HPNA President. I am following in the footsteps of some great leaders. The growth of our chapter and the services it provides is a testament of your commitment to the hospice and palliative care community. I will work hard to enhance and support professional and community partnerships and educational endeavors in advancing expert care in serious illness.

I am honored to work with an exceptionally talented executive board. Each board member has made a commitment to the continued support of our organization and the hospice and palliative community. Each member and future member will also be integral as we continue to maneuver through the challenges, changes, and rewards within hospice and palliative care.

As our chapter continues to grow we continue to focus on partnerships with professional organizations, healthcare facilities/providers, and individuals in providing hospice and palliative support and education. Access to networking and educational events will play a significant role in meeting the needs of our members and community. To this end, we will continue diligently advocating for the expansion and visibility of excellence in hospice and palliative care across Alabama.
