Grants and Scholarships

The Hospice and Palliative Nurses Foundation provides professional development opportunities to qualified members of the hospice and palliative care team, including scholarships for education, conferences, and specialty certification, along with nursing research grants and leadership awards.  Below is a list of the grants and scholarships that are offered.

Certification Scholarships

These scholarships provide reimbursement of certification fees to eligible individuals, and are valid for either those earning a new Hospice and Palliative Credentialing Center certification, or those who are renewing their current HPCC certification.  Winners are determined on a monthly basis, and are usually given with a preference for at least one at each level of certification.  Those who do not receive this scholarship can reapply in the following month.

Conference Scholarships

Our conference scholarship program was established to provide financial assistance to nursing professionals who attend HPNA sponsored conferences. These include the Annual Assembly, Clinical Practice Forum, HPNA sponsored End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC) events, and both CHPN and ACHPN certification review courses. Deadlines for these are usually several months before each specific event date.
