Registration now open, scholarships available

Registration is now open for the Eleventh Annual HPNA Clinical Practice Forum, taking place from Thursday, September 14 through Saturday, September 16, 2017, at the historic Omni William Penn Hotel in Pittsburgh, PA.

This year's program begins with our opening plenary speaker, award winning journalist and author Suzanne Gordon. Her latest, The Battle for Veteran's Healthcare: Dispatches from the Front Lines of Policy Making and Patient Care, was published this spring.

Other topics include sessions on "caring for the caregiver," embracing truthfulness in hospice and palliative care nursing, and looking at end-of-life dreams and visions and what the evidence shows.  Discussions on the Measuring What Matters project, the HPNA-ANA Call for Action, and a  review of the recent Palliative Nursing Summit is all on the agenda. Four half day preconferences on Thursday September 14, with two presented by Mary Lynn McPherson, PharmD, MA, BCPS, CPE, will also be available.

This is a great conference for continuing education, with the maximum credits available by adding two specific pre onferences and the optional Friday evening session reaching up to 20.0 Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) credit hours, including 9.0 pharmacology credit hours
