With Teamwork We Succeed: Thank You to
All Involved in the Defining Hope Movie Premiere
Congressional Briefing took place before Washington D.C. premiere
The first few days November were busy with our involvement in the premiere of the movie Defining Hope. Fourteen HPNA chapters across the country sponsored showings of the film, which were viewed by over 1,000 attendees, part of over 130 theaters and over 10,000 film attendees nationwide. Discussions about advance care planning, one of the key goals of last spring's Palliative Nursing Summit, were held at many locations. HPNA also sponsored a Congressional Briefing before the Washington DC premiere, where several members of congress added their support to our advance care planning goal.
Below is a link to the presentation that HPNA President Donna Morgan made at the Congressional Briefing, a news article covering it, and a document from the filmmakers showing the impact of Defining Hope, and why sponsoring a project like this is important.
We couldn't have done any of this, or had the success we had for this event, without you. So we'd like to thank our dedicated members, organizational leaders, chapters, staff, and all who helped out on this project. We also want to thank the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Foundation and the Hospice and Palliative Credentialing Center for their support.
